Our Story
MC Rec Center's mission is to provide a variety of quality programs and activities in a safe facility for all ages and abilities. We are committed to providing exceptional activities and services to create wellness opportunities that promote a healthier and happier community.
Not only will we provide opportunities for physical activity, but we will also be a hub that host classes centered around nutrition, mental health, mindfulness, support groups and other community oriented opportunities.

Project Updates:
We're thrilled about renovating the below 22,000 square foot warehouse into your community recreational center!
Our doors will be open to all in Monroe, Marion, Ralls and Shelby counties through a membership based model.
We are currently raising funds to retrofit the warehouse into our fully functional rec center that will include:
An indoor walking path for year round use
Two full size basketball courts for:
pickleball, basketball, soccer, cornhole, volleyball and a variety of activities!
A dedicated hang out room for our youth to keep them safe and active year round
A community room that includes a kitchenette to rent for private events,
parties and community or business events
A dedicated workout area for classes and exercise
The MC Rec Center will be your one stop shop for the whole family to be active and healthy!
We are a nonprofit organization, and operate independently of the City of Monroe.
The MC Rec Center is tax exempt under 501(c)(3) and any contribution is tax-deductible under IRC Section 170!
