Our Story
MC Rec Center's mission is to provide a variety of quality programs and activities in a safe facility for all ages and abilities. We are committed to providing exceptional activities and services to create wellness opportunities that promote a healthier and happier community.
Yes, we will provide opportunities for physical activity, but also our community room will be a place we can host classes centered around nutrition, mental health, mindfulness, support groups and other community oriented conversations.

Project Updates:
We're thrilled about renovating the below 22,000 square foot warehouse! Your future community rec center will not only serve Monroe County, but also Marion, Ralls and Shelby counties as well. Our doors will be open to all!
We are a nonprofit organization, and operate independent of the City. Through much planning, meetings and discussions with other area recreational centers, we have a full scope of the project, budget and plan for moving forward.
We are currently in Phase 1, which is funding the full purchase and initial cost of the project.
Phase 2 is the retrofitting of the warehouse into our fully functional Rec center.
Our project has 501c3 fiscal sponsorship, so your contribution is tax-deductible.
